Q: How do I reset my CarAI password?

To reset your CarAI password:

  1. Open the CarAI app.
  2. Tap “Forgot Password” on the login screen.
  3. Follow the reset link sent to your email.

Q: How do I delete a car from my CarAI account?

Currently, deleting a car from your CarAI account is not supported in-app.
Please email support@getcarai.com for assistance.

Q: How can I delete my CarAI account and data?

You can delete your CarAI account directly from the app:

  1. Log in to your CarAI account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap on Delete Data.

This action will permanently delete all information associated with your account, including:

  • Registered vehicles
  • Maintenance and fuel logs
  • AI conversations
  • Any other stored data

Important: This process is irreversible and cannot be undone. Make sure to back up any information you wish to keep before proceeding.

App Features

Q: Can I use CarAI on multiple devices?

Yes! You can log into your CarAI account from any device using the same credentials.
Your vehicle data will sync automatically.

Q: What does the CarAI assistant do?

The CarAI assistant is your personal AI mechanic. It provides tailored maintenance advice,
service tips, and reminders based on your vehicle type, usage, and location.

Q: How do I access my vehicle manual in the app?

Simply go to your vehicle profile in the CarAI app and tap “Owner’s Manual” in the Home Page to access your car’s manual.

Q: Can I create an entry, expense, or service log through the AI assistant?

Not at the moment. The AI assistant in CarAI is designed to help with advice, maintenance questions, and vehicle insights, but it cannot create entries or logs.
To add an expense, service, refuel, or other entry, you need to manually do so by tapping the plus (+) icon in the bottom navigation menu of the app.

Vehicle Management

Q: Can I track fuel and service expenses in CarAI?

Yes! CarAI lets you log fuel purchases, track service costs, and upload receipts all in one place—
no spreadsheets needed.

Q: How can I change my car model in CarAI?

It is not possible to change the model of an existing car in CarAI.

To update your car model, you can:

  1. Add the new car from the Garage section.
  2. If needed, request deletion of the old car by contacting support@getcarai.com.
  3. If you’d like to transfer existing data (e.g., logs, history) to the new car, please email support@getcarai.com.

Our team will assist you in making the transition smooth.

Compatibility

Q: Does CarAI work with electric vehicles?

Absolutely. CarAI supports both gas-powered and electric vehicles, adjusting suggestions and tracking
based on your car’s energy type.

Q: Which car models are supported by CarAI?

CarAI supports models for which a digital owner’s manual and structured information is available online.
Older models may not be included. If you can’t find your model or year, please contact support@getcarai.com.

Q: Does CarAI support hybrid and bi-fuel vehicles?

Yes. When registering your vehicle, select the appropriate option for hybrid or bi-fuel cars.
CarAI supports vehicles with dual fuel tanks.

Q: Does the app work in my country?

Yes, the CarAI app works in all countries.

However, please note that the app is currently only available in English and does not yet support
other languages. Regional settings such as currency and units are supported based on your location.

Personalization

Q: Can I customize settings based on my region?

Yes. CarAI allows you to choose your preferred currency, units (imperial or metric), and regional settings
for a personalized experience. If you want to modify the settings you selected at SignUp, please contact support@getcarai.com

Q: How do I change my country or currency in CarAI?

Changing country or currency settings is not yet available directly in the app.

and anyone who wants to simplify vehicle management.

Q: How can I suggest feedback or request a new feature?

Q: Does the app cost anything? Is there a subscription?

CarAI is currently in beta and completely free to use. There is no subscription or cost associated
with using the app at this time.

However, please note that some features may become part of a paid plan or subscription in the future
as we continue to grow and improve the app.

Insights

Q: How is the vehicle health score calculated?

The health score is based on the number of overdue service reminders logged in your CarAI account.

Q: How is cost per mile calculated in CarAI?

Cost per mile is calculated by dividing your total logged costs by the distance driven since
you started using CarAI.

Q: How is the total cost calculated in CarAI?

Total cost is based on all ownership expenses logged in the app, including fuel, services,
and other entries.

Q: How is fuel efficiency (MPG, km/l) calculated?

Fuel efficiency is calculated based on logs from your last two full-tank refuels, using only
entries with odometer readings.

Troubleshooting

Q: My owner’s manual is not loading. What can I do?

Some manuals are very large and may take 1–2 minutes to load. If it still doesn’t appear,
please contact support@getcarai.com.

Privacy

Q: What data does CarAI collect and how is it used?

CarAI collects a limited set of data to ensure the app runs smoothly, securely, and continues to improve over time:

  1. Email Address – Used for login, essential app functions, and account security.

  2. App Usage (Anonymized) – Includes interactions like taps, navigation, and feature usage to help us understand user behavior and enhance the experience.

  3. Crash Reports & Diagnostics – Collected to detect bugs, improve performance, and maintain app stability.

Your Privacy Matters:

  • All data is encrypted and stored securely using industry best practices.
  • Personally identifiable information is never used to train our AI features.
  • We never share your data with third parties without your explicit consent.

Maintenance

Q: For which cars can I receive safety recall notifications?

At the moment, safety recall notifications are only available for vehicles registered in the United States and with a valid US VIN number.
If your car is eligible, you will see a prompt on the Home page to add your VIN. Once added, CarAI will check if the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) issues a safety recall for your vehicle. You will also receive a notification whenever new safety recalls are published for your car.
